Designed to celebrate the rich and colorful history – and history makers – that define the Meadowlands communities, the History Blog will visit local museums and historical sites, spotlight notable residents and highlight some of the more unusual happenings in the Meadowlands of yesterday and today.
It will build on the
NJMC’s Oral History Project, created as part of our 40th Anniversary
celebration, and will provide links to a wide range of local history programs,
sites and events.
To publicize a historical event or meeting, or to suggest a story or contribute to the Oral History Project, please email the NJMC’s Brian Aberback here.
I was out on the marshes this weekend on a photo shoot for a project I am doing about The Meadowlands, Five Miles From Times Square. I was able to take some fantastic images, some of which are posted on my blog page, including a video. We even saw Capt. Bill of the Riverkeepers cruise by on his boat. Enjoy the photos and video... http://fivemilesfromtimessquare.blogspot.com/
Thanks!
